Over at the dreaded - Murdoch family ranch - i have been tending to a RAWmemorial myspace for a few years now since Bob' pissed over -  and a part of what i set out to do there was compile mosbunall of the RAW related tribute events, raves, workings and hoo haa's in one place, and i documented a few at the blog there: http://www.myspace.com/rawmemorial/   (but ugh, myspace...)
I was also fortunate to be on the periphery of the great Coldcut-Mixmaster Morris RAW VJ/DJ event, featuring Alan Moore, Bill Drummond and Ken Campbell - which can be viewed here: http://raw.maybeee.com/    (Subtitles are a possible useful addition to this video.)
Youtube has available footage of rawmemorial happenings too. I suppose then, that I am looking to gather most of the footage, and place it into a time-capsule as time races on, and we move into new things. And be done with tributes, turn them into attributes, beauts' and beauties...

Any ideas?

Fly, I always felt the Maybe

Fly,

I always felt the Maybe Logic DVD was a first step. I thought much more was to come.

Of course as often said - we're not the RAW fanclub; but still, there's so much out there, the Cosmic Bandito (and Platypus) collected a lot as well, and since then many tributes have taken place. And you were partaking in several.

Why not a site on the model of the old self-written interactive story, with the ability to click away viewing videos, reading texts, hearing Bob's voice… and then the next step, a book with a DVD with everything that was not on the MLA disk. I think Bob deserves it. You seem one of the best hunter-gatherers around for that kind of material.

PS have you or anybody else come across a high-quality version of the two shorts by the Portuguese guy (whose name I cannot recall) with Bob (and Terence as well)? I saw very blurry crap on Youtube. Seems the only movies where Bob appeared as some kind of character I think.
And there's the Door of the Law too.

Ken Campbell talking Bobs and Illuminatus!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA4LrkzK424

Just found this video of Ken Campbell, the sounds a bit out of synch and I found the background noise annoying, but good to watch.

Fly, the Raw.maybeee site looks down at the moment, any ideas?

Nice one Fuzzbuddy!

I saw Ken live a few times, doing his own one-man shows (shown a bit more respect than in this video).

I even saw the whole of the London production of Illuminatus!- an all day event - and they nailed it! Every nuance of a long and complicated book - on stage, acted out.

Neil Cunningham RIP as Hagbard Celine; David Rappaport RIP as The Mgt; Chris Langham (forgive his mistakes) as George Dorn; Jim Broadbent (you've heard of him now) as many characters - most notably (for me) as Sheriff Jim Cartwright); the lighting design for ten hours of show done by Mike Hurst, who sold NoFit State Circus their first tent (I learned tight-rope from him) - Bill Nighy, of course (didn't he do well, since); Bill Drummond of the KLF doing sets. etc.

It felt like catching the first production of Parade: sets by Picasso, movement by Dhiagilev, script by Jean Cocteau, music by Eric Satie - can you imagine?

Currently we lost our own Wiki on this subject, but there doesn't seem to be a lot posted on this alternative wiki.   Read the book(s).

I bet seeing Ken was good fun.

I'm looking forward to reading his Bald trilogy sometime. Doing a bit of digging looks like Pigspurt has been recorded and edited and on sale here: http://www.tentringer.co.uk/ not sure if Ken narrated it.

I can only imagine that the stage play of Illuminatus! was awesome and would love to see it if its ever made again. I think there was a post on the tribe forum about someone hoping there was a script around he could work with.

Thanks for that link to the Illuminatus! production Bogus, I hadn't seen it since doing the MLA Illuminatus! course. What happened to Bobby's wiki? hacked/spammed?

All good stuff

Yeah Fuzz

Pigspurt was one of Ken's solo shows, so he did indeed 'narrate' it.  I contacted the site, and apparently they have recordings of two of his shows available, £10 plus £1.50 p&p.

They are radio productions of two of The Bald Trilogy

1) The Recollections of a Furtive Nudist (with bonus track NUBS)

2) Pigspurt

live on Resonance FM.

You may also find it interesting to visit the MeryFela collection at Playback Arts (which has some video).

I have just emailed a follow-up, too, to find out if the DVD that Ken made for and with RAW might become available again. Last year it was too soon after Ken's death, and everyone was in shock.  See article about it here.

Illuminatus Wiki

I seem to remember it got spammed, and needed a thorough clean-up.  I think Bobby took it down until he had time to fix it, and I suspect these days he is really busy working.

If you think we should put it back up, we could always collect up the material and put it on (say) Wikispaces, so that we don't have to expect Bobby to host and manage all this stuff!

Most of the material came from my files, although a few annotations got added. It didn't seem to really take off as a collaborative project.  We might need a systematic re-read, if anyone can get their focus back again.

I think I could put my hands on the timeline, the character list, etc.

That DVD sounds good and

That DVD sounds good and thanks for the short clips of Ken Campbell Bogus.

Shame about the Illuminatus! wiki I hate that these things get spammed. I'm sure Bobby has more important things to do than clean it up all the time.

I found the character list pretty useful and have just tonight finished a rough draft of the screenplay for Leviathan, so just need to tidy them up a little now and sort out a few loose ends. Hopefully get the ball rolling of getting them made into films in the new year!

There was another website with the characters list but I read recently that that site (I think it was www.rawilsonfans.com which is merging into www.alterati.com)
