tale of the tribe, movie?
I haven't seen any of this, and the IMdB entry doesn't sound quite me, but the writer/director Jonathan Whittle-Utter seems quite interesting.
How about The Galapagos Gods?
Or Autodoc with Tristan Tzara and Hugo Ball portrayed?
I didn't pay attention to the director until now. Interesting. I found the movie looking for this site! So that's why I had to share it here :-) Tail of the Tribe movie didn't look like a film that I'd like, but I thought some of the people involved could've taken interest in this discussion space.
I'm reading Kurt Vonnegut's Galapagos now. Those other 2 movies' plots interest me more than the one I accidentally found looking for this place. Funny!
Between this 'tale of the the tribe' movie, and the new band out of Liverpool called 'The Maybes' I can't help but feel a little perplexed that these folks, as far as I know, have not contacted us to say Hi, kiss my ass or, your served. I would have thought some peole involved with a movie called 'tale of the tribe'.... But, to be Frank, Movie makers may often be self-obssesed individuals and bands and musciains can also often lack the kind of network sharing openess you may find among teachers, educators and scholar activists. Shit, many artists have become more conservative than the bankers that feed the 'void' industry, to take a pessimistic view. Much love to the sharing critters and exemplary individuals around these 'quarters' who keep in touch, generally.
Would be interesting to know were they did get the names from. I just saw there's a band called "Illuminatus" as well. On wikipedia it says the maybes band have been performing since 2002, so maybe they came up with the name independently.
We shall see to it that our collective, shared, 'tale of the tribe' and 'maybes' are distinguished.
The trailer looks a bit crap to me.
